A native of Quitman, Georgia, Coach Rose was a four-year basketball standout at Brooks County High School before going on to serve as Team Captain at Albany State University, where he played collegiate basketball and earned his degree.
Following graduation, he launched his coaching and training career in Valdosta, Georgia, quickly earning a reputation for building disciplined, high-performing teams. He has coached at multiple high school programs including Highland Christian Academy, Lanier County High School, and Valwood Academy, amassing a stellar record of 150 wins to just 37 losses over seven years.
In 2023, Coach Rose expanded his impact by launching Rose Elite Athletics, an AAU program that made waves on the national circuit. His 12U team finished 28–4, winning six AAU tournaments in its first year.
Coach Rose has helped over 20 student-athletes earn opportunities to play college basketball, thanks to his keen eye for talent, deep understanding of player development, and a robust network of college coaching contacts built over the years.
He is known for his relational leadership style, earning the trust and respect of both athletes and parents through hard work, communication, and mentorship. His mission is clear:
“To help every athlete maximize their potential — on the court, in the classroom, and in life.”

Coaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is rooted in three pillars: development, discipline, and opportunity.
I believe in developing the whole athlete — not just their skills on the court, but their mindset, character, and readiness for life beyond the game. Every player in my program is coached with the expectation that they will grow into a leader, a teammate, and a responsible young man.
Discipline is the foundation of long-term success. I hold my athletes to high standards in practice, in the classroom, and in their personal lives. That structure doesn’t just produce better basketball players — it builds future college athletes, professionals, and men of integrity.
Opportunity is what we create every single day. Through strong relationships with college coaches, structured exposure, and consistent communication, I work to ensure every athlete under my leadership is seen, supported, and set up for success at the next level.
“Effort is expected. Growth is required. Excellence is the standard.”
At Rose Elite Academy, we’re not just building better players — we’re preparing better men for life after the whistle.
